PENS

I guess I’m a Pen Snob now?

It would appear so, as I’ve dived into the world of upscale pens? For years, I’ve used primarily Pilot G2’s, and loved them frankly. I was somehow served a post on r/Pens and down the rabbit hole I went. It started with a Writech Ombre .5mm, and then onto a Writech Space Up, and then the floodgates opened. I started searching for a pen that took the Pilot G2 that would last for a LONG while, and I came upon the Ti2 Designs.

I ordered the Ti2 Design Titanium TechLiner Grid Pen - Checkered Paisley Limited Edition (FallOut TRD) and installed a Pilot G2 Refill. LOVE. Loved it so much I immediately ordered the shorty Ti2 Design Copper TechLiner Grid Pen - Tiki Limited Edition (Tumbled) with a Pilot G2 Mini Refill.

I love the Ti2 pens, and these may well be the pair that sticks with me the longest. I LOVE the magnetic caps, I LOVE the design, and I LOVE the way the pen tip extends at the bottom, allowing me to see the tip while writing.

Soon afterwards, I came across a reference to EDC (Every Day Carry) for Pens. Intrigued. I usually see EDC with Knives, wallets, notebooks, but pens was new to me. Somewhere in this search I ran across the Kaweco Brass Sport Rollerball, and saw the Brass version and fell in love, and ordered immediately. It arrived and I must say I love it more than I thought I would. The brass feels so smooth, and substantial, AND it writes like a dream. I love that I can screw the cap shut and throw it in my pocket. It’s slightly longer than the shorty Ti2, which is good, that one is half an inch short in my opinion, but the Kaweco is a perfect size. Of all the pens, I’m most excited to use this one and find myself doodling nonsense just to use it. I also just ordered the AL (aluminum) version to test it out as well, it only weighs half as much so it will be a fun comparison.

And because I’m me, and even though I found something awesome that is perfect for me, I went looking for other options in case they were even more perfect. I had seen pictures and posts about the Rotring 600 Ballpoint Camo Green - 1.0mm, so I ordered one to see what the deal was, and loved the color. I’m coming to know that I don’t love ballpoint pens, so ordered a Black OHTO Flash Dry Gen Pen Refill .5mm to go with it. If I didn’t have the other three pens, I would use this 8 days a week. It’s the thinnest handling, and also the most precise point of the bunch, so would be great for small and precise writing, compact notes, and other things of the sort. But as is, it’s in 4th place at the moment.
